NFL in Europe
Enjoying the NFL in the Netherlands. Cool thing is every game is available on the Internet for free. Enjoying the Chiefs season opener!
Noon games start at 7PM
Royals start in one hour and I’ll have that going on the iPad.
International Dining
Michael really likes Subway sandwiches. That is really the only meal he likes right now. His favorite is a footlong pepperoni sandwich on white bread. No cheese, no sauce, no veggies and not toasted.
The international angle is that we are in subway, in Chinatown, in Den Haag, Netherlands.
Michael loves KLM
Michael loves airplanes right now. He has told us he wants to be a KLM pilot and KLM is his favorite airline.

Living in the Netherlands
As we are settling in the Netherlands we thought it would be filing to write about our experiences here.
The Netherlands is as flat as Kansas, below sea level (noteworthy when you are 2 miles away from the ocean) and crisscrossed with canals.
We have found the people to be very nice and helpful to an American family finding their way.

Finding things in the Grocery Store
We have had to adapt to going to the Grocery Store. Since all the packaging is in Dutch, it can be hard to determine what you are buying.
Some things are easy and the words are similar.
Bread = Brood
Milk = Milk
Cheese = Kaas
And of course some are more challenging:
cream = kookroom
